Tom Barkewitz represents a wide variety of clients in real estate sales and acquisitions, financing and commercial leasing of projects in Washington and throughout the United States.

Mr. Barkewitz has practiced for over 15 years and, before joining Alston, Courtnage & Bassetti, was Corporate Counsel for a Seattle based real estate holdings company, where he negotiated and closed the sale of a nationwide portfolio of retail, office and health care facilities valued at more than $650,000,000. Mr. Barkewitz is a frequent speaker at industry and bar association seminars on real estate topics. He has acted as Associate Editor of the Washington Real Estate Deskbook, and is the author of several chapters in that and other Washington real estate publications.

Mr. Barkewitz is a graduate of Niagara University and Rutgers University School of Law, where he was a Philip J. Levin scholar. He is a member of the Washington and King County Bar Associations and the Pacific Real Estate Institute.

Mr. Barkewitz applies a practical approach and business experience in assisting his clients in their legal needs.
